Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Nevada Properties recently hosted its third annual charity golf tournament, raising donations for The Sunshine Kids to benefit children battling cancer.
The tournament welcomed more than 100 attendees who came together in support of the cause. Through golf registrations, sponsorships, course contests, mulligans, raffle and auction items and generous donations, the event raised needed resources for this important nonprofit.
The tournament was supported by several community sponsors, including Equity Title of Nevada, The Shawna Felli Team, American Home Shield, Connected Communications and Prosperity Home Mortgage.
“At the end of the day, this event is all about giving kids and families a reason to smile during an incredibly difficult time,” said Troy Reierson, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Nevada Properties. “Seeing our community come together with so much generosity and heart was truly inspiring.”
The event was made even more inspiring when guests heard from Sue Waltermeyer, child life specialist at Cure 4 the Kids Foundation. Waltermeyer shared how organizations like the Sunshine Kids give children opportunities to step away from hospital visits and treatment schedules to enjoy meaningful experiences and create lasting memories with their families.
The annual tournament has become a signature community event for Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Nevada Properties, bringing together business leaders, community partners, real estate agents and local supporters for a shared cause.
“The energy throughout the day was incredible,” Reierson said. “Whether someone sponsored a hole, donated a raffle item or spent the day on the course, every contribution helped make a difference. We’re grateful to everyone who helped make the event so meaningful for these families.”
