A stretch of one of Las Vegas Valley’s major arterial roads is slated for improvements.
From Monday through September, on West Lake Mead Boulevard between Buffalo Drive and Rancho Drive, a series of traffic technology upgrades will cause lane restrictions.
According to a City of Las Vegas news release, those restrictions will primarily impact the outside, westbound lane of Lake Mead Boulevard, though additional lane restrictions are expected at intersections on the arterial road where Las Vegas Electric, the hired contractors, will be working.
Crews will be on site between 6 p.m. and 7 a.m. Mondays through Fridays, weather permitting. This project, costing nearly $3 million, will be funded by the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada and federal funding.
