A person was injured after a carjacking and crash in the parking lot of Cowabunga Bay Water Park in Henderson on Tuesday night, police said.
The incident happened at 8:20 p.m. at the park, located in the 900 block of Galleria Drive.
In a statement, the Henderson Police Department said officers responded to “a crash in the parking lot of Cowabunga Bay. (The) incident initially started as a carjacking nearby, before the stolen vehicle was crashed. The victim of the carjacking suffered minor injuries.”
Police didn’t provide any more details.
Last year, a man was arrested in connection with a shooting near Cowabunga Bay. The shooting happened after two men got into in an argument in the parking lot.
