Who knew Las Vegas native and Philadelphia Phillies superstar Bryce Harper’s morning routine could be so controversial?
Harper woke up on Monday and decided to post an eight-minute video of himself getting ready on TikTok. Many fans could not stomach more than a couple of minutes after seeing Harper’s teeth-cleaning routine.
In the video, a nonchalant Harper put the toothpaste tube to his mouth, squeezed out some toothpaste before setting it down and wetting his toothbrush to begin scrubbing.
The video went viral on several platforms, with one post on X garnering over 11 million views alone by Tuesday afternoon.

The overwhelming consensus of reactions were comments questioning Harper’s sanity.
“Bryce Harper applies toothpaste like an absolute psychopath,” Bussin’ With the Boys’ account wrote with laughing emojis.
“Just so everyone knows, Bryce Harper is a psycho,” another caption read. “Who brushes their teeth like this?”
“Bryce Harper deserves jail time for how he applies his toothpaste,” one account wrote.
“Actually diabolical toothpaste application,” one TikTok comment reads.
Many comments also pleaded that Harper had to be trolling. However, he seemed to be self-conscious, covering his mouth as he used a tongue scraper before brushing.
No matter if there was an ulterior motive or if it was his genuine teeth-cleaning routine, Harper’s latest viral moment has reasserted that he is one-of-a-kind.
“That tooth paste job was the most bryce harper thing i’ve ever seen,” one TikTok commenter wrote.
