
A 14-year-old boy suffered critical injuries after being struck by a vehicle Monday night in the northeast Las Vegas Valley, according to police.
Police said in a news release that the crash occurred at about 6:15 p.m. near the intersection of East Lake Mead Boulevard and Marion Drive.
According to police, evidence at the scene, video surveillance and a witness statement indicated that a 14-year-old boy was crossing East Lake Mead Boulevard near the intersection of Marion Drive.
The pedestrian entered the path of a 2011 GMC Terrain and was struck by the vehicle, which projected him onto the roadway, police said.
The driver immediately stopped, remained at the scene and showed no signs of impairment, according to authorities.
Police said the teen was transported to UMC Trauma with critical injuries.
