Police were searching Thursday afternoon for a vehicle involved in two crashes, one of which injured a 15-year-old boy, in the southwest Las Vegas Valley.

The first crash was reported just before 1:25 p.m. at the intersection of West Cactus Avenue and South Jones Boulevard, according to a Metropolitan Police Department release. The victim was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

The vehicle fled and was involved in a second crash just northeast of the first near Gossamer Stone Court and Joaquin Fire Street, where it again fled the scene.

No injuries were reported in the second collision. The vehicle is still outstanding.

The intersection of Cactus and Jones was closed for the investigation.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
