The Las Vegas Raiders took a big swing to start the final day of the NFL draft.
They traded up one spot in the fourth round to secure the right to select Tennessee cornerback Jermod McCoy.
It’s the ultimate high-risk, high-reward pick.
The grade: A+
McCoy is undoubtedly one of the most talented players in the entire draft.
The injury concerns are very real, though.
McCoy missed all of last season with a knee injury, and there is a huge question mark about his recovery and his potential availability for both next year and beyond.
But if he can play and perform anywhere near his 2024 level, the Raiders just got the steal of the draft.
McCoy has elite ball skills and exceptional closing burst to the ball. He understands route concepts and is incredibly competitive at the catch point.
He’s absolutely worth the risk at this point, even though it cost a seventh-round pick next year to move up a spot.
