
A man was killed in a shooting at a house party early Thursday, Las Vegas police said.
Metropolitan Police Department officers responded to a call of several gunshots being fired at a house party near the 4300 block of Brookhaven Drive, near Harmon Avenue and Decatur Boulevard, according to a press release.
When police arrived they found a man suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The man, whose identity hadn’t yet been released Thursday, was transported to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Detectives learned that the victim walked outside of the house party and was approached by a group of people, police said. After a brief verbal exchange, the victim was shot, the news release said.
