The Las Vegas Raiders started the free agency period by retaining cornerback Eric Stokes.
Stokes will get $30 million over the next three years, with $20 million guaranteed.
General manager John Spytek had said at the NFL combine that keeping Stokes was one of the team’s top priorities.
Stokes came to the Raiders on a one-year deal last season and proved he could stay healthy and play at a high level.
The Raiders entered free agency with nearly $120 million in cap space, tops in the league. The secondary is starting to come together with Stokes joining Taron Johnson, who the team traded for late Sunday.
