
It’s time to vote for the Nevada Preps boys athlete of the week.
This week’s poll features four players who posted standout performances during the week of Sept. 21-26.
Voting will close at noon Thursday. Results will be reported on Friday.
Athlete of the week poll
Here are this week’s nominees:
Louden Cahill, Basic High football: The senior had 160 receiving yards and three TDs to lead the Wolves to a 47-20 victory over Durango on Friday. The wide receiver is averaging 72 yards per game to lead the team.
Aaden Flores, Arbor View soccer: The senior goalkeeper had six saves while earning the shoutout Tuesday as the Aggies beat Faith Lutheran 3-0. He leads the team with 52 saves and three shoutouts this season.
Josiah Sayre, Centennial soccer: The junior finished with two goals and an assist Tuesday to lead the Bulldogs to a 5-1 victory over Sky Pointe. He leads Centennial with 18 goals this season, and also has eight assists.
Trey Washington, Bishop Gorman football: Filling in for injured starters Corey Hinton Jr. and Noah Cole on Friday, the freshman had two rushing TDs and a scoring reception to help the Gaels cruise to a 45-3 win over Faith Lutheran. In 26 chances this season, the reserve running back is averaging 8.1 yards per carry.
