
The 2026 Forbes 400 List has arrived, and 11 Nevadans are on it.
In its 45th annual ranking, the Forbes 400 chronicles the richest people in America. This year, the people who made the list total “a record $8 trillion,” according to Forbes, up from $6.6 trillion a year ago.
The minimum net worth was $4.4 billion, leaving off 590 American billionaires.
Miriam Adelson & family
Miriam Adelson, 80, is the wealthiest Nevadan, ranking 33rd overall, with a net worth of $33.5 billion, down from $37.9 billion in 2025. Miriam Adelson is the widow of Sheldon Adelson, the founder and former chairman and CEO of casino company Las Vegas Sands Corp.
Miriam Adelson and her family control many companies, including Las Vegas Sands Corp. and the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks. She is the largest shareholder in Las Vegas Sands, which operates the top integrated resorts in Macao and Singapore. With her family, she owns the Las Vegas Review-Journal. She also owns Israel Hayom, a free Hebrew-language newspaper based in Tel Aviv.
Nancy Walton Laurie
Nancy Walton Laurie, 75 and billionaire heiress to the Walmart fortune, ranked 67th on the list with a $17.2 billion net worth. Her net worth increased from $15.6 billion in 2025.
Walton Laurie received shares from her late father, Bud Walton, who helped his brother Sam Walton start the retail giant in 1962. The shares her and her sister Ann Walton Kroenke received made them both billionaires, according to Forbes.
Walton Laurie resides in Henderson.
David Duffield
David Duffield the 85-year-old founder of PeopleSoft and Workday, landed at No. 132 with a net worth of $11.5 billion. This figure is down from his 2025 net worth of $12.8 billion.
Duffield co-founded PeopleSoft in 1987, selling to Oracle for $10.7 billion in 2005. He then founded Workday in 2005, took it public in 2012 and resigned as chairman in 2021.
He now serves as the chairman for his sixth company, cloud software firm Ridgeline. He resides in Incline Village in the Lake Tahoe area.
Don Hankey
Dubbed the “little-known king of subprime car loans” by Forbes, Don Hankey, 83, ranked 149th with a net worth of $10.5 billion. Hankey is chairman of Hankey Group, a Los Angeles-based auto services conglomerate, presiding over its $33 billion in assets.
His net worth is up from $8.2 billion in 2025.
In January, Hankey bought a 4,929-square-foot condo in The Summit Club for a record $21 million. Listing agent Ivan Sher confirmed it would serve as Hankey’s primary residence.
Jay Chaudhry
Jay Chaudhry, 67, founder of cybersecurity firm Zscaler, ranked No. 160 with a $9.6 billion net worth. His net worth is down from $15.7 billion in 2025.
Chaudhry and his family own 35 percent of Zscaler, which is listed on Nasdaq. Prior to his current venture, he founded SecureIT, CoreHarbor, CipherTrust and AirDefense, all of which were acquired.
He resides in Reno, where he relocated from the Bay Area.
Andrew and Peggy Cherng
Co-founders of Chinese fast-food chain Panda Express, Andrew and Peggy Cherng, 79 and 78, ranked No. 199 on the list. Their net worth is $8.3 billion, up from $7.7 billion in 2025.
They co-founded Panda Express in 1983 and have grown the business to 2,600 locations. They serve as co-CEOs.
The couple resides in Henderson.
Eren Ozmen
Eren Ozmen, 68, executive chairwoman and majority owner of private aerospace and defense company Sierra Nevada Corporation, ranked 277th. Her reported net worth is $6.1 billion, up from $4.9 billion in 2025.
SNC is headquartered in Sparks and delivers “mission‑ready aerospace and defense solutions,” according to its website.
In 2024, SNC received a $13 billion contract from the U.S. Air Force to develop a “Doomsday Fleet.” It is tasked with replacing the Air Force’s “aging” E-4B Nightwatch fleet, according to a news release from the company, which would be used during a nuclear war.
Fatih Ozmen
Eren Ozmen’s husband, Fatih Ozmen, 68, sits 10 spots below his wife at No. 287. His reported net worth is $5.9 billion, up from $4.7 billion in 2025.
Fatih Ozmen is the CEO and co-owner of SNC. He received his master’s degree in engineering at the University of Nevada, Reno.
Phil Ruffin
Well-known Nevada casino magnate Phil Ruffin, 91, was at No. 318, with a $5.3 billion net worth. Ruffin owns Treasure Island, Circus Circus and the Las Vegas Festival Grounds, as well as 50 percent of the Trump International Las Vegas hotel.
His net worth is up from $4.7 billion in 2025.
Weili Dai
Returning to the list is Weili Dai, 65, co-founder of semiconductor company Marvell Technology. The Las Vegas resident is ranked No. 356 with a net worth of $4.8 billion.
Dai and her late husband, Sehat Sutardja, founded Marvell Technology in 1995.
