A hit-and-run crash in the east Las Vegas Valley left one pedestrian dead on Monday, police said.
The Metropolitan Police Department said officers responded to the collision at the intersection of Nellis Boulevard and Stewart Avenue just after 8:45 p.m.
Police said Nellis will be shut down from Stewart to Charleston Boulevard and advised community members to avoid the area.
