Ryan Garcia used his right hand Saturday to make sure he’s still the WBC welterweight champion.
Garcia dropped British challenger Conor Benn with a clean, power right in the second round of his first title defense at T-Mobile Arena and followed with a flurry to force referee Thomas Taylor to halt the bout at the 1:25 mark.
Marquee matchups await Garcia, 28, and known instead for his vaunted left hook, with WBO champion Devin Haney, WBA champion Teofimo Lopez and IBF champion Liam Paro.
