“Gavin Newsom endorses Aaron Ford.” That’s the message on the big sign at Warm Springs and Boulder, with California Gov. Newsom and Mr. Ford standing side by side. It certainly gets your attention. But it also makes me wonder: Why would Mr. Ford want the endorsement of Gov. Newsom?
California is struggling with homelessness, high taxes and growing concerns about public safety and sanctuary policies. Is Gov. Newsom really the example we want to follow here in Nevada?
A campaign sign can make a strong impression, but voters should also think about what that endorsement represents. To me, it raises some important questions about the direction Mr. Ford would take Nevada. Just something to think about before we vote.
