A new Grocery Outlet is opening in Henderson.
On Sept. 3, a new Grocery Outlet will be opening in Cadence at 879 E. Lake Mead Parkway, according to a news release. During the festivities starting at 7 a.m., the first 100 customers will receive a gift card ranging up to $500 and a complimentary reusable bag while supplies last throughout the week.
Customers can also enter to win $1,000 in free groceries from Sept. 3 to Oct. 2.
At 10 a.m. the store’s independent owners and operators will hold a ribbon cutting and donate $500 to Three Square and $500 to Vegas Roots Rescue.
The Emeryville, California-based grocer offers hefty discounts — around 40 to 60 percent — on store items, including produce, meats, packaged items, hygiene products and alcohol.
Another grocery store announced plans last week to open a new location in September.
Hispanic-focused grocery store El Super is opening its new store in September, at 1601 W. Craig Road, the grocery store announced. The new store is the chain’s fifth in the Las Vegas Valley.
The new 56,000-square-foot store will include grocery products from Latin America, a full-service meat department, bakery, with freshly made breads, pan dulce and tortillas, produce and ready-to-go dishes from its restaurant. The new store will also hire around 120 full- and part-time team members for the location.
El Super has over 70 locations nationwide in California, New Mexico, Nevada, Arizona and Texas. It is a part of grocery retailer Chedraui USA, which also includes Fiesta Mart and Smart & Final.
