Las Vegas Motor Speedway will host two NASCAR Cup Series races in 2027, the track announced Monday.
NASCAR will make its first stop to LVMS on March 21 for the Pennzoil 400, the fifth race of the NASCAR Cup Series schedule. The weekend begins with the LiUNA NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race on March 20.
The series will return to the track for the South Point 400 on Oct. 10 as part of the NASCAR Chase playoffs. The O’Reilly Auto Parts Series will race on Oct. 9.
The second NASCAR event of 2026 at LVMS is the South Point 400, which is scheduled for Oct. 4. The O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race is set for Oct. 3.
“We’re excited once again to host two NASCAR race weekends in Las Vegas and continue our tradition of bringing motorsports to the entertainment and sports capital of the world,” said LVMS senior vice president and general manager Patrick Lindsey said in a statement.
“Each year, these events create unforgettable experiences for our fans, and we look forward to welcoming race fans back to Las Vegas in 2027 for two weekends filled with incredible racing, entertainment and the unmatched atmosphere that makes LVMS a must-visit stop on the NASCAR calendar.”
LVMS will not host a NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race in 2027. It’s the second straight year the track will not host a Truck race after hosting at least one race all but one year (2020) from 1996 to 2025.
Start times, race weekend schedules and broadcast information will be announced at a later date.
