Las Vegas isn’t out of the peak of summer heat just yet.
While chances of monsoon activity will bring some cloud cover and relief after the hottest week of the year, forecast highs will linger in the upper 100s this week, prompting Clark County to activate cooling stations due to extreme heat across the valley.
The cooling stations will be open Monday through Thursday, with hours varying by location, according to a county release. The stations are located at community centers, libraries and other buildings in Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and Henderson.
Cooling station locations can be found at the Southern Nevada Homeless Continuum of Care’s website at helphopehome.org/get-help.
