Pakistan is heavily involved in negotiations between the United States and Iran in efforts to end the war.
It was a Pakistani scientist who played a crucial role in helping North Korea develop an atomic bomb, and when we found out, Pakistan exerted diplomatic pressure to protect him from retaliation. It was Pakistan that gave sanctuary to Osama bin Laden, and when we found out, we went in and killed him. And lest we forget, Pakistan does not recognize Israel as a country or its right to exist.
What’s wrong with this picture? Who put these guys in such a position — and why? And why and what are we negotiating when we should be doing everything possible to eradicate this menace, free its people, and establish peace in the region?
