The ZIP code of 89179 in Enterprise is the 13th fastest-growing area in the entire nation, according to a new study.
Located along West Cactus Avenue below Blue Diamond Road in the southern part of the valley, west of the South Point hotel-casino, the ZIP code had one of the highest changes in housing inventories (up 202 percent) from 2014 to 2023, according to the RentCafe study. It also saw a population increase of 277 percent, also one of the highest in the country.
Back in 2014, the ZIP code had 3,175 people, and as of 2023 it had 11,971, according to the study. It was the only ZIP code in the valley to crack the top 20, according to the study. The fastest-growing ZIP code over this time frame was in Chino, California, followed by one in Timnath, Colorado.
A ZIP code in Henderson (89011) ranked 47th in the country over this same time frame, according to the RentCafe study. The area encompasses Lake Las Vegas, Calico Ridge and Midway in northeast Henderson.
Regarding housing inventory in 89011, the number of units went from 9,831 in 2014 to 15,505 in 10 years, a 57 percent increase.
The demographics of this particular Henderson ZIP code have also changed over the past decade as the population is now close to 40,000 residents. Three out of four adults in the ZIP code are college-educated. Close to a decade ago, there were half as many residents and only about two thirds (68 percent) held a higher education degree.
Additionally, the Henderson ZIP code’s median income rose by 36 percent from 2013 to 2024, bringing it closer to the overall valley’s average of $70,723.
