The Vegas Golden Knights will try to capture their second Stanley Cup when they take on the Carolina Hurricanes in the final.
The Knights are fresh from a four-game sweep of the Colorado Avalanche in the Western Conference Final, while Carolina topped Montreal in the Eastern Conference Final and has lost just once in 13 postseason games.
Game 1 of the best-of-seven series is Tuesday at Lenovo Center in Raleigh, North Carolina.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
How to watch
The Golden Knights are back on hockey’s biggest stage.
Vegas opens the 2026 Stanley Cup Final on Tuesday against the Carolina Hurricanes, looking to capture the franchise’s second championship in four seasons. The game will be broadcast on ABC starting at 5 p.m.
Some DirecTV customers around the country have recently lost access to certain local ABC stations because of a carriage dispute involving E.W. Scripps-owned stations, including KTNV-TV (Channel 13) in Las Vegas.
Defenseman returns for Knights
For the first time since opening night, the Vegas Golden Knights will have a fully healthy lineup.
Defenseman Jeremy Lauzon is returning to the lineup for Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Carolina Hurricanes at Lenovo Center on Tuesday after missing the past month with an upper-body injury.
Lauzon has not played since the clinching Game 6 of the first round against the Utah Mammoth on May 1. He is expected to draw back in for Kaedan Korczak, who was a plus-3 and had two assists in the last two games against Colorado.
Stanley Cup Final preview
The only people who thought two months ago that the Vegas Golden Knights would be in the Stanley Cup Final were the Vegas Golden Knights.
Down 2-1 in the first round to Utah? Done.
Tied 2-2 in the second round against Anaheim? Finished.
Over before they played a game against Colorado? Sure, why not?
And yet, here they are. It’s the first week of June. They’re still standing. It’s Rocky Balboa in the 15th round against Apollo Creed, and they’re still going.
