Nevada Highway Patrol responded to a fatal head-on collision outside of Beatty in Nye County involving two sport vehicles.
One female driver was confirmed dead at the scene, near mile marker 105 about 45 miles north of Beatty. The other driver involved was taken to a local area hospital with injuries sustained in the crash, the Highway Patrol said. Identities of both drivers were not immediately provided.
Nevada Highway Patrol advised drivers to slow down and use caution when driving in this area as the investigations continued.
