
Amelia McClerkin had a home run and four RBIs Friday as the Mountain League’s No. 1 seed Legacy advanced in the losers bracket with a 14-9 home win over the Sky League’s third seed SLAM! Nevada in the 4A state softball playoffs.
Victoria Beebe went 2–for-3 with a double and an RBI to help Legacy, and teammate Sofia Nazario added two hits and two RBIs.
Legacy hosts Sierra Vista in an elimination game at 11 a.m. Saturday.
No. 4D Sierra Vista 21, No. 4M Las Vegas 0: At Las Vegas, Kyleah Barnes had a home run and four RBIs to help the Mountain Lions roll past the Wildcats in three innings.
Jaylen White added a double, a triple and four RBIs for Sierra Vista, and teammate Taryn Thomson had two hits and four RBIs.
No. 1S Tech 16, No. 2M Cimarron-Memorial 1: At Tech, the Roadrunners fell behind 1-0 in the top of the first inning before rallying with 16 straight runs to rout the Spartans in three innings.
Tech hosts Silverado in an 11 a.m. elimination game Saturday.
No. 4S Silverado d. No. 3M Clark: The Skyhawks defeated the Chargers by forfeit to advance in the losers bracket.
3A Southern Region softball playoffs
No. 1 Pahrump Valley 9, No. 2 Virgin Valley 0: At Boulder City, Evalynne Armendariz went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs in the Trojans’ victory over the Bulldogs.
With the win, Pahrump advanced to Saturday’s 10 a.m. championship game at Boulder City. Virgin Valley had to battle through the losers bracket, but prevailed to earn a rematch against the Trojans in the finals.
No. 4 Moapa Valley 8, No. 3 Boulder City 5: At Boulder City, Claire Holm went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBIs in their losers bracket victory over the Eagles.
No. 2 Virgin Valley 10, No. 4 Moapa Valley 0: At Boulder City, Kamzlee Dalton had a double and two RBIs, and also was the winning pitcher as the Bulldogs advanced to the title game with a win over the Pirates. The loss eliminated Moapa.

No. 2M Spring Valley 14, No. 2D Del Sol 4: At Spring Valley, Braeden Cushenberry and Vincent Perrone each went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs to lead the Grizzlies past the Dragons in six innings.
Spring Valley stayed alive in the losers bracket and will play Western at 11 a.m. Saturday at Sierra Vista in another elimination game.
No. 4S Western 4, No. 3M Doral Academy 1: At Grand Park, Daniel Garcia Tapia went 4-for-4 with two RBIs as the Warriors defeated the Dragons in the losers bracket to advance.
No. 2S Rancho 13, No. 3S Canyon Springs 0: At Rancho, the Rams rolled to a losers bracket victory over Canyon Springs and will host Cheyenne at 11 a.m. Saturday in another elimination game.
No. 4M Cheyenne 12, No. 4D SLAM! Nevada 2: At Cheyenne, Cole Steiner went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs as the Desert Shields cruised to a five-inning win over the Bulls.
Brody Jeahn pitched a five-hitter to earn the victory for Cheyenne.
3A Southern Region baseball playoffs
No. 1 Boulder City 8, No. 2 The Meadows 6: At Boulder City, Will Teeples went 3-for-4 with a double to help the Eagles defeat the Mustangs,
Cael Starley also went 3-for-4 for Boulder City, which advanced to Saturday’s 10 a.m. championship game against Virgin Valley.
No. 4 Virgin Valley 4, No. 3 Pahrump Valley 3: At Boulder City, Brooks Perkins had three hits, and the Bulldogs scored a run in the 12th inning to advance to the semifinals. They defeated The Meadows 11-10 in the semis to advance to Saturday’s championship against Boulder City.
