A Boulder City coach accused of lewd acts on children has been indicted on new charges and accused of targeting more victims, prosecutors said Wednesday.
Frank Mariani, 46, faced counts of lewdness with a child and child abuse or neglect in Boulder City Justice Court. He has now been indicted on additional counts of lewdness.
District Judge Jacqueline Bluth said she agreed with the request of prosecutors that his bail be set at $150,000 in light of the newly disclosed victims.
Known as “Coach Bubba,” Mariani served as varsity football coach at Boulder City High School.
In an arrest report, Boulder City police accused him of misconduct that included slapping players’ buttocks, instructing a player to create an AI video of two other players kissing, talking about dreams of him having sex with minors and reaching for a player’s genitals.
He is also accused of showing his underwear to players in a locker room and moving his genitals.
The previous allegations stem from the period between May 2024 and November 2025.
Some details about the case have been hidden from the public by Boulder City, which has concealed large portions of Mariani’s arrest report with redactions, contending that concealing the information from the public is necessary for the sake of privacy.
