
Touro University Nevada has appointed its first chief executive officer.
Jacqueline Beato was appointed as Touro University Nevada’s first CEO in February, the health care and education-focused university said in a press release Thursday.
“We are honored to welcome Jacqueline to our leadership team, whose leadership, experience, and vision will play a pivotal role in guiding Touro Nevada into its next era of growth. Her commitment to excellence, innovation, and community impact aligns seamlessly with our mission and the future we are building together,” said Dr. Alan Kadish, president of Touro University, in the press release.
According to the press release, this is a new leadership role for its Nevada institution. In the position, Beato will work beside Touro University’s provost and chief academic officer, Dr. Patricia Salkin, as well as lead several departments to guide long-term growth and strategy.
“I am thrilled to collaborate with Jacqueline in advancing a long‑term strategic vision for the university as we continue to invest in Touro Nevada’s growth and impact,” Salkin said. “This is an exciting time at Touro Nevada as we aim at implementing new programs, supporting rural medicine, and increasing health services to help the local community.”
Previously, she served as the interim chief financial and operating officer at the university. Before joining Touro, she was the chief operating officer at Live Nation Concerts.
“In this new role, I look forward to supporting education initiatives that incorporate the latest technology, groundbreaking research, and forward‑thinking curricula that supports a stronger healthcare future for Nevada,” said Beato in the press release.
Touro University Nevada is a private, nonprofit, Jewish-sponsored institution in Henderson. It offers graduate degrees in education, medical health sciences, nursing, occupational therapy, osteopathic medicine, physical therapy and physician assistant studies.
It is a part of the Touro College and University System, which has over 30 schools globally.
