A pair of Laughlin casinos are rolling the dice, and one lucky player could take the house. Keys included.
Aquarius and Edgewater casinos are giving their loyalty club members a chance to win a brand-new single-family home and up to $60,000 in cash. The “$300,000 House & $60,000 Cash Giveaway” begins March 14 and runs through April 18.
Jeremy Jenson, senior vice president and general manager of Aquarius and Edgewater, said this was the biggest grand prize he could recall in his more than two decades working for Golden Entertainment Inc., the Southern Nevada-based operator of the two Laughlin properties.
“Players who trust us with their time and their loyalty deserve rewards that could change their lives,” he said. “This is our way of delivering value through life-changing promotions.”
True Rewards members receive one virtual drawing ticket for every 50 same-day base slot points. Weekly drawings will be held on Saturdays through April 11, with 10 winners at each property receiving $500 in cash plus a house-shaped certificate guaranteeing entry into the grand prize drawing. On April 18, 10 last-chance winners at each property will be selected before the grand finale drawing at 6 p.m. at Aquarius.
The grand prize winner may choose the newly constructed 1,619-square-foot home in Montano Ridge, Bullhead City, Arizona, or take a $210,000 cash alternative.
Laughlin reported growth in visitation and gaming revenue last year, with annual visitation rising 7.3 percent to 1.4 million visitors and gaming revenue increasing 2.4 percent to $493.5 million.
Jenson said the promotion is designed not just to attract visitors, but to reward the properties’ existing player base.
“Aquarius and Edgewater are the leading resorts in Laughlin,” he said. “This promotion is a deliberate statement about our position in the market, and how seriously we take our commitment to our players.”
Golden Entertainment is in the process of transitioning from a publicly traded company to private ownership as part of a plan to sell its operating assets to chairman and CEO Blake Sartini.
Separately, several of its casino real estate holdings will be sold to VICI Properties Inc., including the Strat at the north end of the Strip, the two Laughlin resorts, the Pahrump Nugget and Lakeside casino in Pahrump, and two Arizona Charlie’s casinos in Las Vegas.
