The Metropolitan Police Department has arrested a man in a fatal shooting at an east valley park on Thursday.
Police said Michael Tate, 26, was taken into custody Monday and booked at the Clark County Detention Center on a single count of open murder with use of a deadly weapon.
Tate was arrested in the 8:39 a.m. shooting at Maslow Park, 4900 E. Lana Drive, near East Harmon Avenue and South Nellis Boulevard. Police Lt. Robert Price said previously that two men were arguing when one pulled out a firearm and shot the other.
The victim, who’s identity hasn’t been released as of Tuesday morning, was taken to a local hospital where he died.
